Gnews: Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has announced his retirement from international cricket. India’s legendary off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has retired from international cricket. He announced his retirement on social media on Friday. Harbhajan has played cricket for India for almost 20 years and has taken 611 wickets. Harbhajan made the announcement from his Twitter account. Wrote – All good things end one day and today I am saying goodbye to the game. This game has given me everything in life. I would like to thank everyone who has made this long journey of 23 years beautiful and memorable.
Harbhajan posted the video on YouTube and said, “For the last 25 years, the journey of Team India Turbunator from the narrow streets of Jalandhar has been beautiful. I came on the field after the Indian jersey, there is no greater inspiration in my life. But there are moments in life when you have to make difficult decisions and move on. I have been wanting to make this announcement for the last few years and have been waiting to see when I can share this moment with you. I am retiring from all forms of cricket today. Like every other cricketer in the national team, I wanted to retire from cricket while playing in the Indian jersey, but that did not happen. No matter which team I play for, I gave my all. Vajji has given credit for his success to his parents. At that time I also remembered his sister.
Despite announcing his retirement at the age of 41, Harbhajan has not played for India in a long time. He played his last match for India in 2016. There has been a lot of speculation about his retirement for a long time. Harbhajan Singh is the third Indian bowler and the second spinner to take more than 400 wickets in a Test. Anil Kumble and Kapil Dev had done this feat before him.
All good things come to an end and today as I bid adieu to the game that has given me everything in life, I would like to thank everyone who made this 23-year-long journey beautiful and memorable.
My heartfelt thank you 🙏 Grateful .https://t.co/iD6WHU46MU
